Simon’s short film and directorial debut, All Good Things, was awarded the Emerging Filmmaker prize at Mardi Gras Film Festival’s ‘My Queer Career’, was shortlisted for the Iris Prize in Cardiff, and nominated for Best Direction in a Short Film at the Australian Directors’ Guild Awards. The film is available to stream on ABC iview.

His work with the performance art collective someone gay presents was nominated for Best Direction in an Interactive or Immersive Project at the Australian Directors’ Guild Awards.

Simon plays Tommy in the AACTA-nominated Sequin in a Blue Room (Audience Award, Sydney Film Festival). Theatre credits include the original production and national tour of A Town Named War Boy (ATYP), Chicom (Red Line), The Campaign (White Box), A Clockwork Orange (NIDA), All Good Things (ATYP), Werther (Opera Australia), and Dead Man Walking at the State Theatre. He also worked as a camera operator on Sydney Theatre Company’s critically acclaimed cine-theatre production of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

His short play Brazil Nuts was published by Currency Press as part of ATYP’s anthology Intersection: Unleashed.

Simon graduated from AFTRS with a BA in Screen Production in 2019, and studied at Atlantic Acting School in 2023.
